Javier helped me to do some hardware and software updates to my MacBook Pro. It was finished in the time he said it would be and he was very responsive to my texts and calls. I, too, would give 6 starts if possible!
One day, my laptop made that sound that says you've unplugged from power supply. I THOUGHT is was just my old ratty power cord finally got kaput. When the replacement didn't make a difference, I was told by several people(not copmputer pros) that you could not fix it if the problem was "inside."
I took it to a local shop to see if it WAS inside, or perhaps the new power cord was bad... They said that the cords both worked, and that if the dc jack was the "cable kind" they could fix, but if the "solder kind" they could not. They said - without any inspection, they thought I had the solder kind. Now - they did not charge me for this. but it turned out, as I learned at JK Tech, it WAS the cable kind, but even so - they could ALSO fix the solder kind!
And they quoted a VERY reasonable $20 for part, plus the $59.95diagnostic fee, which would be transferred to cover labor fee.
They ordered the dc jack but it didn't do the trick, so they ordered a second one, thinking perhaps the piece they got was bad. The second one didn't fix the problem either, and that the issue must be with the motherboard. Now - I feel very confident that if they put in the new board and it didn't work - I would only be charged that $60 diagnostic. But the good news is that it DID fix the problem, and my computer is now fine!
The total charge was $139.95(diagnostic/labor fee and $80 for board). NOBODY I know of works at those prices. AND provides great service as well!

I have a pc laptop with a touch screen. I dropped it and the screen broke. I called around and hands down Javier was responsive, accessible, and willing to work with me to find the right screen at the best price. This was not a simple fit and took some research on his part. He knows the landscape very well and understands service and fair pricing. As soon as the part came in he was able to fix it that day within 45 minutes. Javier travels for a very low fee to your door. His office is also in a very accessible location. I will be using him for all tech concerns I. The future- installing WiFi boosters, trouble shooting and repairs. He's very knowledgeable , reasonable, and honest.read more
- Very good service. I got my desktop fixed with them. NO headache! Just a little slow than what I expected. but, that's ok. I have a laptop home to use instead. Fair price, 100 usd. They give you 30 days warranty as well. They have a lot of pcs to fix everyday, you have to wait in the line. So, be a little patient. It might take 3 days or more. I will go back to them again....but hopefully, my pc won't break down any moreread more
After being told our Geek Squad protection plan wasn't sufficient to have our computer fixed, we turned to JK Techs instead. I brought the computer to Javier one morning, expecting I'd have to leave it for a few days. But he quickly diagnosed the problem and within 45 minutes was finished with the repair. We got the computer back in just one trip to his office, quite a convenience. The bill was very reasonable, so we cancelled our coverage with Geek Squad and will certainly be contacting Javier if there are any other computer issues in the future.read more
When my hard drive died, I took my laptop to JK Techs on the recommendation of a long time client of theirs. From the beginning of our interaction I appreciated their small business customer service. Karen updated me along the way, was honest about what I could expect, and despite my problem happening a week before Christmas, she called with good news the Friday before the holiday to put me at ease. While the data rescue wasn't at that moment complete, it was working! Karen saved all my data. She gave me a choice of replacement drives, which I greatly appreciated because I'm happy to have a SSD, but wouldn't have thought to ask. And I felt the price for their services was incredibly fair. I will continue enthusiastically recommending them.read more

Our computer was overrun with spyware, and refused to work, and after the insane prices of the Geek Squad ($70 for diagnostic, flat $200 for virus removal of any kind), and Hudson Valley IT ($100/hr avg. minimum of 2 hrs) we were at our wits end until happening upon the website of JK Tech Solutions. It was too good to be true. They do business the old fashioned way, the way it should be. They don't charge for diagnostic if you have them do the service. They do absolutely quality work. They are fast, and efficient, and friendly too. I can't say enough about the experience we just had. If your computer needs any kind of service, call or e-mail these guys as fast as humanly possible, and you will be elated that you did. We are!read more
Took a little longer than expected to do a computer cleaning / AV installation. Price was fair, there is a $5 off coupon if you "like" them on facebook. Service was courteous. Found it slightly difficult to get in and out of their parking lot (they're located right in Wappingers Falls, where the roads are steep and parking is generally tight anyway).read more
Karen was extremely patient with me (a total knucklehead when it comes to computers). She spent more time than I expected with me fixing the problems I was having with my computer and explaining what she did and how I can avoid those problems in the future. Javier and Karen are to be commended for the fine work that they do.read more
- My Macbook Pro died on me for the first time after 7 years of use. I'm so happy with my Mac computer!!! I will never buy a PC in the future. Javier was professional, suggested a bigger drive and picked up and dropped of my computer for a really reasonable price! If you need any work on your computer, don't call anyone else! Don't go to the geek squad or anyone else. Just call Javier. I am super satisfied with the work he did on my computer. I highly recommend him.read more

TRUSTWORTHY SERVICE AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES. My Macbook Pro stopped working altogether 1/19/17. After spending about 4 hours on the phone with Apple Support just to realize I wasn't going to be able to take the next remedial steps I started looking for local tech support near Rhinebeck. Javier was the first person to return my call and the only one able to help. I was in his Hopewell office the next day dropping my computer off for a new hard drive. Unable to get back down to his office 40 minutes away, Javier delivered my fixed computer to my home for a nominal fee on the 26th. He charged me no more than he said he would: the cost of the new SSD and his very reasonable labor for installing it. Everything worked well. For a day. Even though the glitch turned out to be the brand new SSD which was outside of his control, Javier assumed responsibility of the situation and replaced the faulty SSD with a brand new one, at no cost to me. I was and am very grateful to Javier for looking after me. I was able to collect my fixed Mac before leaving the country for several months - hence the delayed review. But now I can testify that my mac has been working perfectly ever since Javier fixed it 5 months ago. Javier and his lovely wife Karen make an honest, professional, trust-worthy, and courteous partnership. I'd return to them if I needed help with my computer again, and I recommend them highly.read more
